My children, 17, 13 and 12, look forward to the faire every year. It is the ONE event that we still do as a family and have a BLAST! The day is full of great shows, great food, and laughs that we talk about and share with friends ALL year long! THANK YOU!!! ~ L.Reese - Auburn, MA
| It is a day full of fun and excitment and delicious food... The people are professionally dressed and the shows are the best...
What more can you ask for in a day? ~J.Jakubczyk |
What an enchanting family day we spent, delighted and entertained by the performances, great food and merriment in the land of King Arthur! - State Representative Pam Sawyer
|
We go to the CTRF every year. My son's favorite part is looking at the shops, especially the weapons. He also loves being able to joust & the games (knife throwing, etc). - L.Connors
My favorite thing was people walking around in character It adds so much to the ambiance of the festivities. I also really enjoyed the jousting match. - C.Bernier
I went to the faire for the first time last last Monday and had a wonderful time! I will be back on Sunday to bring some “newbies”. I enjoyed the wonderful people I met there! - M.Kramer
I attended the weekends of 9/30 and 10/7 and thorougly enjoyed myself both times!! My only regret was being unable to attend many of the shows and missing the jousts -- too much to see!! And my daughter would love another chance at "Smite the Knight"!! - M.Saurez
| What a great weekend for a great faire! My husband and I have attended the CTRF since its very humble beginnings back in 1999 at the King's Inn! The new site is great, the attendance looked to be record numbers, the acts and vendors were superb! The Faire has come a long way in a few years in a very positive way -- Thank you, thank you, thank you. Keep up the great work.
- A.Rich |
I love CTRF because it gave my son the opportunity to meet Merlin! - A.Anacheka-Nasemann
I love the fair! The actors are great and the atmosphere is exiting. The shows like Zoltan and The Popera Show are halarious. Every second is a new laugh at the Smee and Blogg show and the way their witty spin on things is amusing for adults and kids. I love to listen to the tavern songs or a good show on the stage while I sit and eat that delicious breadbowl stew. The only thing is I can never decide what to do first when I get there because theres so much great things to see. - N.Hartley
What I love about CTRF is the awesome attitude the actors have towards the kids. I went with six kids ages 4-11 and they all had a blast! We particularly enjoyed the challenge of finding the "man with the purple hat" in order to claim the prizes won from playing the kid games. - T.Crescenzo
I have been to the Faire and I loved it! I really thought the Chess game was cool. It was interesting to watch the human chess pieces play and actually fight to knock each other out! The kids loved it also. - R.Adams
Our family has gone to the CTRF since the first year, and it just keeps getting better and better! We were there on Monday and enjoyed ourselves so much! We loved the beautiful costumes, the variety of amazing clothes and items for sale, and we all laughed at the shows on the stages, especially one called "Men In Kilts"! - B.Downey
| Every year for the past 4 years, my husband, daughter & I have been attending the fair. We love the friendly people working at the fair, the great food & fun shows to watch. -
Lisa Koetsch |
| My family and I had a wonderful time at the renaissance faire! The music was wonderful, swordfighting was fun for my son! Those turkey legs are incredible! My 4 year old daughter really loved the story teller. He was great! Next year we plan on going in costume!!!
Thanks for a great time! - A.Johnson |
What I love most about the CTRF is how authentic everything is - you really feel like you are back in a time and place where Kings ruled and fairre maidens were fought for. I recently went to the Ren faire in <town omitted to protect the innocent> - heard it was the biggest and the best around - not so! It may be the biggest, but certainly not the best. CTRF is better by a long shot. - T.Cooley
We visited the fair this past weekend (October 9, 2006). I wanted to surprise my 12yr old son who LOVES anything to do with knights and the Renaissance period. He was thrilled with the performances and the different vendors. My husband and I were very impressed with how friendly everyone was, and very respectful also. We definitely will return to the next fair! Thanks to all for such an enjoyable day! - S.Jacques
We love CTRF as a family who has been attending this event together every year, we would not miss it for the world. We enjoy the food the friendly people and atmosphere. Our children love the live shows, the games, the shops and now we love your new location. Keep up the good work, it is evident that alot of preparing and hard work goes into all that you do. Thanks for the memories!!!!! - C.Donnelly
I've been 3 yrs~LOVE the actors and theme each year. - H.Williams
I love how the shows are humorous while retaining some historical accuracy.
This is by far the best show I have been to. - N.Blaine |
I love how everyone loves what they do. They express their love for the CTRF, it truly shows and its contagious! - D.Benza
Overall I enjoyed the easy fun that the CTRF exuded. For me and my friends who never quite out grew the game of pretend, the CTRF let us step into a long gone time period and let our imaginations soar! - Ashley
Our first year and we loved it. We will be back. - M.Molloy
I thought the jousting, the uniforms, the dialect, the weaponry, all of it was awesome. The human chess game was particularly entertaining, and the jousting was very theatrical. - E.Dphrepaulezz
I am a single mom of two girls ages 10 and 5. Last year we had the pleasure of going to the fair for the first time all dressed up for the occasion. WE loved it! The girls loved the pole dance the most! Eventhough was cloudy and rainy at times it didn't keep them from having fun! Your staff is unbelievable and made us feel so welcome and entertained. - Y.Yonamine
| I was able to attend twice this year, the first time with a six year old who had never been and just last Sunday I came by myself and was able to follow the story all day.
Your actors did a fantastic job of staying in character all day. Bravo! - S.Gilot |
We've been to the Faire 2 times, and we love it because it instantly transports us back to the day we think we SHOULD have been alive! - B.Melo
I went to the CTRF and it was great! I liked some of the unique things there that I haven't seen at other faires...the knights in full armor fighting at the final joust, the chance to do sword-fighting was very cool. - J.Kulas
Roderick Russell's show was amazing. Typically I have trouble sitting for entertainment shows such as that, but his personality was so engaging combined with his stunts and skills. Truly captivating from start to finish. A.Brackett
Through the Connecticut Renaissance Faire I am able to share that experience and enjoyment with my two children. We attended the Faire this year three times and still did not see everything that you offer. My son (age 6) refused to leave before the joust was done, my daughter loves the costumes and shops, and I enjoy the escape from the modern day world, the music and sites of the realm. Thank you all for your hard work, we hope to see you next year! - J.Brown
We attended the Faire on Sunday and it was a blast! My two boys really enjoyed it. The games were great, and they really enjoyed the hitting and stabbing booth (go figure). My husband and I thought Zoltan the Adequate was hilarious.
We'll definitely be there next year! - E.Pelletier |
I went to your faire, Zoltan was awesome, one of the best acts I've seen at any faire. I loved all the guys fighting in armor. - J.Kulas
It looked like everyone was having just so much fun, and the special part was no one really cared what others thought too. You can be just what you want to be, and in your entirely in your own world of fanasty with no worries. - D.Gibson
First off let me say that I love your faire. It is the friendliest faire that I've ever attended. My family and I enjoy visiting every year. I love the costuming and the movement of the fae. I also love the abundance of music at your faire. It really adds to the atmosphere. - B. Bianchi
This was my and my daughters' first time at a Renaissance fair and I must say we had a wonderful, wonderful time. The atmosphere and the vendors were absolutely fantastic. We have already decided to make this a yearly event. - T. Masse - CT
...wonderful! I brought my class of 5 boys who had been studying The Middle Ages and what better way to have such a culminating experience! Even my 5th graders were left wondering if some of the cast were really "hurt" in the melee. Great day for us all, worth the 167 miles we drove, one way! Thanks! - K. Hewes - NH
Best of luck on another great year. Look forward to seeing everyone again. I love this Faire so much I moved to CT! - A. Patron - CT
Thank you so much for a wonderful time! I visited your faire with my family on Saturday, Sept. 24, and had a blast. We all had a lot of fun participating in Mandrake's Mystery. I also enjoyed many of the shows that we saw. My favorite part of the whole day was the King's Tourney. I wanted to let you know you will definitely see me again. - M. Renihan
I attended the CTRF this past fall with my sister, mother and 6 children ages 2 - 11... We had THE best time! We all really enjoyed Roderick the sword swallower; Tom Foolery; the unbelievable cast, and the jousting match. The kids were all quite shy and didn\'t know what to expect, but were greeted at the gate with song and dance. The kids were also greeted throughout the day by the new friends they had made at the gate. We will now make it an annual trip (all the way from Northern NH) to attend the CT Faire. Thank you for the fantastic memories. Can\'t wait for next September! - H.Glavin
Great entertainment! Great fun! All tucked away in the great northeastern part of CT! A secret sure to be found out! - S.Gilot - CT
You've got me and my friends hooked, it's the most fun I've had in a long time. - K.Wrzesien - CT
My son and I, very much like the history and stories of the days from King Arthur. We have a facination for elves, dragons, and the way of life. We went to the 2002 Faire held in woodstock and enjoyed ourselfs very much. Thank you for such a good day! I myself love the folk lore surrounding "the eyes of Hera" and came home with more Peacock feathers than I new what to do with! You had so many colours to choose from. My son was just beside himself with the sword collection your faire had to offer. He managed to find one he could afford to bring home and add to his collection. We await next year. - D.Sabourin
I went last year on two weekends and as I tell all my friends I prefer your faire to that of the one in <location omitted> name need not be mentioned. Over priced and offered many of the same features as yours but at twice the cost. Keep up the good work because in this economy family priced events are the only way I can go! - B. Pearce
We loved all the additions to last years faire!! - K. Davis
We love the faire.... S. Trotter
Enjoyed last years fair thanks - D. Letourneau
We have been to your fiare the past two years and have had a great time.. Keep up the great work.. Can't wait until September. - W. Trucheon

Had a wonderful time last year even in the pouring rain. Glad to see the event come back to CT! - K. Buch
I used to live in Ft Lauderdale Fl and went to the Faires there every year, looooved them, especially the "mud flinging" shows My son is now 3 years old and I cannot wait to bring him! - M. Bratz
My familiy and I came to the faire for the first time last year - much better than <faire name omitted to protect the innocent>, and a lot closer and cheaper! Can't wait to go again! - K. Merriam
My husband and I wanted to let you know just how wonderful your performers were. We have two children, <daughter> age 6 and <son> age 4, who we brought to the faire Saturday, October 5. The performers were excellent with them. <our daughter> is coded in her school system, she is not slow but has Sensory issues and speech difficulties. In other words, too much stimulus and she fritzes out and has a hard time making sense. Your performers were so excellent that we never ran into this problem with her (as we have at other faires).
A couple of people come to mind and my husband and I would appreciate it if you could give them a pat on the back for us. The first we met was, I believe, Zoltan the mediocre, (a younger man in black and white). He sat under the food tent with my two and their cousin (also 6) while we were settling them down. He did magic tricks for them right at the table for a good 1/2 hour. It allowed the adults a moment to breathe since the kids were occupied, and consequently not wandering off. He was awesome person number one.
Awesome person number two was Tom Foolery. He ran into us a couple of times, at first my daughter hid behind her father, then slowly with each meeting she warmed up to him. Between his performances we ran into him again...this time he pulled out his bag of tricks and did some impromptu juggling and jokes using both children, but especially <my daughter>. This had all four of us in an excellent mood. We then went to his show, were my normally quiet-around-strangers daughter started heckling him during setup. He pulled her on stage a few times at that point. With her problems I flinched the first time, not knowing how she was going to react. He had her so at ease she did not have any problems, as a matter of fact they were hysterical together. A GIANT thank you goes to Tom.
Awesome person number three was the large treelike Unsylph, or as my daughter dubbed him "The Creepy Guy." He did his job of making the kids nervous beautifully. At one point my son had a lollipop. As a bit of a joke I told <my son> to hold it out and declare "BACK!". Thank God for great improvisers. Creepy guy then proceeded to back off when <my son> had the pop out and come towards him when he put it into his mouth. <My son> went from being afraid of him to being a hero with his pop. Kudos to "The Creepy Guy."
A few others that played well to the kids were Rosalita and her Operator, The wood sylph (the tiny one with soft brown hair and squiggles on her face), and the curly haired female Mud Beggar. Together these people as well as all of your staff made a perfect day at the Faire. Both children are still talking about it and starting to use some things they heard in their Imagination Play. Please send our thanks and a pat on the back to all and especially the ones I mentioned for us. We are thrilled to find such a family oriented fair. It is a true treat to go to a renaissance festival that not only caters to singles but makes going as a family a truly enjoyable and memorable event. Thank you. - K, L, A, & A Henson |
I went last year on a whim with my 14-year old niece and my sister-in-law. We enjoyed ourselves sooooo much that my niece wanted to return the next day with her friend. This year, our families, including our husbands want to go... - N. Caron
I love this Faire! I have visited every year since it's opening! Keep up the great work! - S.Kachanis
Wow, this Faire is a lot less expensive than the one in <town omitted> MA. I'll be going to YOURS this year! - R.Parent
I discovered the faire a year ago, and eager to return! Excellent, I enjoy it far better than <faire name omitted to protect the innocent> held in <location Omitted>. - V. Teckman
The interaction and the flow of the faire. Seems like there is always something going on to do and to see. Yours was the first faire I had ever attended, and thanks to the friendliness of your visitors and participants you got me hooked. Keep up the good work. - D.Finch
I love your faire..the entertainment is very good..the people are very friendly and my children just have a blast.. - D.Patterson
I think my favorite part of the CT Faire is all the entertainment. Other faires have a couple things to choose from during each time period, but I am blown away by how you always have so many choices at each hour. I also love the many food choices (at good prices) and the cast interaction. I also like the kids area, though I am still hoping for the pony rides some day. :) Keep up the good work! - B.Wildes
I loved last year's faire...can't wait for this year's! One of the best things about it is it doesn't cost an arm & a leg! And everyone is very friendly. Nice job! - C.LeBeau
I have been each year since you have been at the Woodstock faire grounds. It keeps getting better and better. Keep up the great work. - W.Trucheon
Just as good as <faire omitted> and cheaper! Also closer to my home, no cape traffic! We really enjoyed the sword fights last year. Also, a decent amount of merchants. - K.Merriam
Our family loves your faire. We look forward to the shows, the cast, the venders, and the games. The food is great from the venison stew to the barbequed chicken. Smee & Blogg are a great addition to the faire .Where else can you amuse yourself playing games such as archery and matching your battle skills against a knight? We await with great eagerness the opening of the Connecticut Renaissance Festival!!! God save the King!!! - A.Grygorcewicz
There was so much to see and do. Everyone that was there was real friendly and the prices were great! - L.DeStefano
We went two yrs ago, and loved it! We loved how people walked around to talk to you! We want to go again! - L.Alix
I really enjoy the costumes and the way people really go all out to make it come to life. - L.Credit
Your fair is one of many that we have been to over the years, but by far the most affordable one. We spent the entire day and still did not get to see everything. yet it was one of the most relaxing fun filled days we have spent at any fair. thank you for your outstanding effort. - J.Tewksbury - CT
This was the first year i attended the ct faire and i thought it was great. the faire lends its own special blend of old world flair. Three hazzahs to all the performers and organizers. keep up the good work! - M.Tower
I visited your Faire on Sun. the 6th, it was my first experience with a Renaissance Faire, and I want to say, Thank You. Going into it, I thought "this is not for me" but I could not have been more wrong. The wonderful people I met (participants, vendors and visitors) made me feel as if I was with lifelong friends. The interaction with the actors was at first very strange to me, and I admit to being a bit tongue tied and shy, but by the end of my time with you I was conversing with them as if I had been doing this for years. I cannot wait for next year's Faire where I hope to be not as conscious of my manner, and to fully enjoy the experience you present to all of us. Once again, Thank You!!! - D.Finch
We attended last year & had a great time! - C.Lynch
My boyfriend and i found your fair last year and we enjoyed it more than the <faire name omitted>. We made a point to go looking for it this year and it seems to be that we will continue to attend in the future. Keep up the great work! - G.Gutierrez
This was my first ren, fair... it was great. My wife and I cam back a second time, even with rainy weather it was nice to see everyone out there and dressed up. We bought some clothing this year and hope to acquire enough to blend in next year. Thanks and it was really great. A.Parisek
Had a great time, even in the rain. Looking forward to next year. - J.Stickler
Thanks for the wonderful time this year. I especially appreciated how the characters interacted with us. The look on my 8 year olds face as the king knighted him made my day. Thanks. - G.Hebert
The whole family enjoys the story that runs throughout the day. The chess match was a big hit last year. We also love to visit the merchants and enjoy the food. - D.Start
I love the faire there, because it is affordable, and hasnt gotten too big and commercialized...You guys do an awesome job! - R.Paladino
The admission price is way better than <other faire> and more merchants with reasonable prices, great atmosphere and more interaction with the crowd - J.Delaney
I've been coming to the faire with my family for the last three years and always enjoy the shows, shops and food. - E.Mckennerney - CT

We all had a great day following the king and royal court through their trials and celebrations. The tree man was a big hit with us. - P.Weiss - CT
This will be my second year going to your faire. I think it's great, and it's nice that it's faily local to me, as I am disabled, and don't fair well traveling to far. I also like how much people help a person that is disabled, espically at the Kissing Bridge! They put up a small road block on either end, so that I may cross in my wheelchair along with my service dog. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to going again next year. I must be off now, as I am on my way there. Many thanks for a wonderful faire!! - Mary - MA
My first experience was last years faire. What I enjoyed then was the entertainment and that those portraying the characters took it seriously by talking the language and dressing the parts they played, but at the same time they were having fun. Thankyou for making my first experience one that makes me want to come back for more. - P.Alessi - CT
From when you enter you imediatly feel like you have been transported back through time. The actors are incredibly authentic, it`s wonderful! Now my whole family look`s forward to the fair. Thanks for all the fun. - R.Marcala - CT
This year was my very first Renaissance Faire. And i have to say that i will go every year from now on... it was so nice, i got to look at swords and dress up and talk in an english accent for a whole day *or at least i tried*. The preformances were amazing and i cant wait for next weekend, when i get to run around in my pink leather corset, all over again!!! - The Red Queen - CT
I would like to offer a great Hearty HUZZAH!!! to all the cast and crew at the CTRF, You put on a fine Faire. It was most excellent to see all the Fey out doing what they love best - teasing the mortals. As one who walks in both worlds, I find it great sport to watch them at play. I would like to also thank Toren for for the gift of stone he bestowed on my Daughter Caitlin and her pet Dragon. If all goes well, We may come back for another visit on the last weekend. But if not, we will shall most definitely return next season. Again, a Hearty HUZZAH!!! to all at the CTRF. - Sir Richard DragonMaster and Lady Caitlin

[your faire is] fun and affordable, and you have unique vendors, you dont overprice - C.Lattanzi - CT
1st time this year.We went to the other fair in Mass last year + was dissapointed. This was well worth going to,very reasonable for the family + the entertainment throughout was more than worth it.We drove from N.H. + will be there every year! - R.Lavoie - NH
...Felt like we were back in those times. J.Kieon - RI
It is very enjoyable and you get the sense that you really are back in those times. - M.Sergei - CT
Last year I accidently stubbled on the faire while searching the internet for something to do with my children. They are not little.... teenagers to exact so it was hard I wanted to spend sometime with them so I had to find something that would interest them. I asked them to go with me to the faire. Against protested comments of "I don't want to go" to "It will be boring" WE WENT. They had a wonderful time. They mentioned it several times in the past year and we thought that we missed it this year. They were very disappointed... When I told them it was on this weekend we could go they are very happy and all set for a day of pleasure and adventure. Thank you for the wonderful job of bring yesterday back again so my children can appreciate the crafts of acting and customing. Thank you for making them interested in the old world of history. - D.Smith - CT
Had a great time at this years faire on Sept 27 (my birthday). My wife and I also met Ritchie Blackmore and his wife from Blackmore's Night strolling about the faire. You also had the best merchants of any faire I have been too in the country. - J.Brown - CT
Your parking, ticket, and gate staff are very friendly and efficient - a very nice start to the day. You have a great selection of merchants. The food is good, and the reasonable beverage prices are greatly appreciated, as are the *clean* running water restrooms. K.Klatte - CT

My daughter went last year with her father and absolutely LOVED it. - S.Meikle - CT
I am new to rennaisance faires, after loving it from afar for many years. I recently attended your faire as my first one, and I'm addicted. Thank you for making it a wonderful experience! I had an incredible time; I dressed in garb, which I think made for an extra-special time, but I would definately have had a great time in jeans, too! - Thanks, CTRF - Angela - CT
Very realistic and the kids love it. - B.MacNamara - CT
I was very impressed with your faire. Everything was so lifelike AND the human chess battle was amazing. - E.Catubig - CT
Loved the entertainment! You had enough vendors & plenty of food. The costumes were incredible. The location was good as well. This was the 1st experience for us but hopefully we will continue to participate more fully in years to come.(would love to dress up at least) - K.Gilbar - CT
Great costumes and skits and vendors. Definitely see you next year! - K.Erickson - CT

Love everything about the faire!!!! - J.Clifton - CT
Saturday, 10/18 was my first experience attending a faire. I brought my 5-year-old son (6 next month) who has had a (short!) lifetime fascination with all things Renaissance. He had an absolutely WONDERFUL time, as did my husband and I. He was knighted, and watched the tournament with rapt fascination. We already can't wait until next year! Thanks to all who made our first experience a wonderful one! - Sir Ethan and his parents - CT
This was my second year going to the CT Faire, and it was an even more wonderful experience (and that is saying a lot) than my first time and first faire experience last year. I was able to make it 3 times this year, and no matter what the weather was (and it seemed that each time I went was a dramatic climatic change, from rain to heat to cold) it was a magical time for me and my friends. The last Saturday that I was there was my first time at a faire in garb, and it enhanced the experience more than I ever could have imagined. I want to thank everyone from the participants (I hesitate to use the word actors since I don't think some of them were acting) to the the vendors and everyone that brings this magical time to life. - Donald - CT
I too wanted to express my thanks to all the hard working folks that made the fair so special. This was my first year visiting, and we made it for both days of the last weekend in spite of the dismal weather. My friend Roxanne and I (she had the red and black jester's cap) stayed until the bitter end on Sunday, and we actually got a peep at the sun. We will be back next year for certain, and are already working on costume ideas. Thank you all for giving this jaded writer some inspiration again.
Also just wanted to let you know that I've written about my fair experiences on a couple of online writing message boards I'm involved in, and every time I've added a link to this site. I hope it helps popularize the fair because I think it's one of the best activities NE CT has going for it. I'll continue to promote it wherever I can - you all continue being the special folks that you are. Nancy - CT
I wished to express my heartfelt thanks at being so openly welcome this Day of October 18th. I was received with warm tidings from the noble King and dearest Queen, whom I wish to offer my unwavering loyalty.
Please forgive me if I make errors with my gratitude. I would like to thank Sir Kay, for trumpetting our shared namesake about. It is truly a noble, noble name. I would also like to thank the Sorcerer who ensorceled my special "stone." I forever will keep it near to me. The musicians who fueled my love of the fine arts. I had never heard bagpipes before, and being of Scottish heritage, it truly sung to me. To the beggars, to the ladies with cat-like visages, and to the valiant men I bested in the arena, you truly made this day very special for me. I now lay me to down sleep, thoroughly exhausted and eagerly awaiting the day next year when I may return and see you all again. Be well, you have all made me truly very very happy, and at age 2, this is a feat unto itself! Long live the King! - Sir Connor of Westerly
I Love the atmosphere of the faire, the characters and shows are wonderful!Everyone welcomes you like a neighbor,it's great. - R.Prue - CT
The characters were the main thing because they stayed in character the whole time. My husband liked the wenches clothing ha ha. But the the events that were taking place just brought you right into the time. The rain didn't stop us from having a great day and we told all our friends and family about it. - G.Bleau - CT
My children just LOVE it! - H.Bearse - CT

we hope to repeat in 2007. We brought a friend from the UK and she
had a blast too. The woman of the gang loved the Men in Kilts contest

throwing. - A Family from Gondor - CT |

You really feel your back in time. The cast does an exceptional job. I have been attending CTRF for about five years and, it's an event I look forward to all year long. ~E.Sheffield
The Connecticut Renaissance Faire is an amazing experience, throwing you into the time of King Arthur and his knights of the round table. With theme-styled food, booths of jewelry, clothing, and random knickknacks, games, and shows ranging from jousting to comedy, this Faire is for any fantasy or medevil -loving people; however, I find that most people enjoy it even if they aren't history buffs. I reccomend everyone to go there at least once to get the experience, and after that, you'll want to go every weekend! ~ J.Coatsworth

Visiting The Connecticut Renaissance Faire is like stepping back in time to a wonderland full of beautifully dressed lords & ladies, pirates, knights, wizards, fairys, sprites and all other sorts of mystical creatures and characters. It is awesome interactive fun for the entire family. You'll never look at things the same way and want to keep coming back again and again! ~Susan
[The Connecticut Renaissance Faire has] ...so much to do and not enough time in the day to do it. Something for everyone, my son justs loves fighting with the knights, my husband and I love the shopping and shows! Looking forward to another great year. ~ C.Hebert

Going to a Renaissance faire is like stepping back in time. As soon as you walk through the gates, your whole wold has taken a giant step back. Your brought back to a much simpler and magical time period. it's GREAT!
CTRF is an interactive fair that the kids REALLY get a kick out of and enjoy fully. My kids dress up every year and love watching all the shows and really being a part of it. It's one fair that everyone should check out at LEAST once in their life because once they've checked it out they'll keep coming back! ~A.Kopec
The CTRF is a fantastic way to travel back through time, where life was more simple and people were more connected. Full of enthusiastic participants, it is extremely rare to see someone not smiling or getting to know someone new. After visiting the festival, the stories and tales and blazing outfits of colors and textures leave a long lasting impression and a sweet, nearly melancholy memory. What a superb way to spend a beautiful fall day. ~ S.Clothier
Visiting the Connecticut Renaissance Faire is always one of the highlights of the year, and I appreciate all the time and effort that the entire team puts into this yearly spectacle, I mean, spectacular event. ~ M.Renihan
Opening Weekend 2007 was excellent! This was our first trip outside of NYS (where we have attended 3 different faire experiences over 15 years).
The food, merchants and performers were more than adequate (thank you Zoltan!) ~ F.Apollo |
Congratulations on a great job with the fair. Just wanted you to know that I (along with 12 other members of my extended family) went to the fair on Saturday and we all loved it. Six of these are children and the other seven are children at heart. Two of the children qualified for being “knighted” and received this royal honor. We couldn’t get over how fast the time flew and how long we stayed. For some it was their second year. I can tell you that it is being placed on the family calendar as a “must attend – next year”. ~ R.Calcaterra
Once again the faire was Fanastic! I made it three of the four weekends and on two of the weekends brought with me "Faire Virgins" They LOVED IT! I love to introduce new people to the experience and will continue to do so. The new acts this year were outstanding especially "The Duelists" Thank you so much for letting us \'mere mortals\' step back in time and relive the adventure. ~ S.Gilot
